Initiative Great British Energy or more commonly known as GB Energy recently published job posts on Linkedin in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Birmingham and other regions of England.

Jobs being advertised include GB Energy’s Engagement Lead and Energy Project Development Lead.

GB Energy is expected to establish their headquarters in Scotland. A range of cities have reportedly made the shortlist. That said, these recent job posts point toward the new initiative likely setting up shop in Aberdeen or Edinburgh.

According to local news, the company opting for Aberdeen as their HQ has endorsement from 900+ corporate leaders.

GB Energy is a publicly-owned investment body focused on clean energy ambitions. The government intends for the initiative to lead to the creation of several thousand clean energy projects.

Earlier this year, Labour highlighted plans to provide the initiative with £8.3 billion in funding. This funding would cover the course of their current term in parliament.

Among other objectives of GB Energy include creating 650,000 new, skilled job positions, investing in new clean energy technology and lowering household energy bills.
