EDF To Provide Utilita With Wholesale Market Access Per New Deal

Integrated British energy generator EDF Energy have recently signed an exclusive deal with electricity and gas supplier Utilita.

As part of the agreement, EDF Wholesale Market Services will ensure access to its wholesale products for Utilita. Trading teams will guarantee access to short- and long-term wholesale energy products.

EDF Energy is the largest carbon-free electricity producer in the UK. The company has a 25-year history of Britain-based investment. EDF Energy has a portfolio of 36 operating wind farms. They also invest in nuclear energy and have solar- and battery-storage-oriented ambitions.

According to EDF Energy’s official website, the several-year agreement will help Utilita meet their electricity and gas needs while providing customers with competitive prices. The agreement is in the form of an exclusive structured trading deal.

Through a range of trading options, the deal will better enable Utilita to navigate the energy demands of their customers.

Utilita currently provides power to 800,000 homes in the UK. The company is also the leading pay-as-you-go energy provider nationwide.
