RO Group Hires New Head Of Energy

Tom Sater has been announced as the new energy head for investment and development company the RO Group.

The RO Group has various wings including RO Real Estate, RO Land, RO Capital Partners and RO Finance.

Tom Sater previously served as Commercial Manager for Clean Energy Capital (CEC). This role covered a period from January 2023 to August of this year.

Sater headed land acquisitions for large swathes of land for solar PV development along with performing evaluations.

As the Head of RO Energy, Sater’s role will involve expanding the RO Group’s portfolio with further ground mounted solar developments.

RO Energy started with a 5 megawatt solar development in 2022. This development covers 140 acres in Milton Keynes.

According to the RO Group’s official website, the company is considering additional sites. Ultimately, they intend to grow their stock of energy generating assets.

The company’s Group Managing Director Edward Rowlandson praised Sater for his wide knowledge of the commercial property ecosystem.

Renewables are set to see a surge in investment more broadly. This is according to an AlphaReal survey from July with 56% of respondents intending to signficantly increase their ground-mounted solar allocations in the coming years.
