Octopus Energy Sees Drop In Profit But Global Workforce Increase

The company Octopus Energy has secured a revenue of £12.4 billion, down from £12.54 billion from the year prior.

Beyond that, the company secured a net profit of £83 million, although this was down from £203 million from the year prior.

While this represents a profit two years in a row, it still shows a notable reduction which is attributed to a decline in sales and rising costs.

All the same, Octopus Energy has reportedly seen its workforce worldwide increase from 4,800 to 8,500.

Founded in 2015, Octopus Energy is a renewable energy supplier and one of the largest energy suppliers in the UK.

The company has seen significant growth over the years, including a more than 10x increase in revenue between 2017 and 2022.
